SOLD Knowledge blooms like flowers in summer, small buds at first, slowly unfurling then bursting forth in glorious abundance. The light reveals delicate truths in every layer as faces turn towards the sun. She sees and is filled with wonder by the revelation, although she is forever changed by the enlightenment. 

The Angel Series by Krystii Melaine

This third Angel in the series continues the theme of awakening and enlightenment, the gaining of new knowledge and awareness, the revelation of hidden concepts. Inspired by my life’s journey, it is a story we all share. We constantly learn and grow, become aware of new ideas, and open our hearts to previously unimagined possibilities in all aspects of our lives.

These glorious peonies bloom outside my studio each summer. They are huge and spectacular, budding as rounded peach-colored cups, then opening wide and fading to pale pink before falling in a drift of petals.

The flowers are layered over and through the figure, creating  a puzzle of colors and shapes influencing and changing each other. Are the flowers transparent, or is it the figure who isn’t as real as she seems?
